Have you set your new year resolution? But before that have you even take a look at the ones you made last year and rate your achievement? I haven't too.. so here I go.

2008 Resolution
Number 1: Go green
CHECKED! I didn't exactly not use plastic bags completely but I've reduced using it though. Still room for improvement!!! So I'll give myself .. 70%!

Number 2: Be a better person
CHECKED! I'm a member of World Vision and I'm sponsoring a child. I'VE GOT A SON!! So that does make me a better person yeah. Can be better, no one is perfect like goddess. 80%

Number 3: Go for a well-deserved trip for my big 22
DOUBLE CHECKED! Bangkok and Hong Kong trip! 100%

Number 4: Pursue a degree

Number 5: Love myself, and my parents more
Hmm. I was really kind to myself. I've pampered myself soo much that I'm so broke. Not that good now it seems. Haha. I should love my parents more. I'm always venting my emotions at them. I know, I know. I shouldn't take them for granted, I try to be nicey nicey. 50%

Christmas is over and the new year is approaching. I missed my bff and she has been called up for flight. You know who you are and we better meet up soon! I want you to know that you have no missed out any fun and when we play, drink and bullshit, we remembered you! AHAHAHA. I swear! So.. Christmas eve at Lily's. Yummy yummy food, potluck style. But I left rather early, Liang has got flight on Christmas day itself. Liang's daughters are going to be soo pwetty next time. Maybe.. they'll be stewardess as well. Lily's.. has to work a little harder! AHAHAHAHA. I'm sorry my lil bff but Jay says you need to plaid your hair more. LAUGHOUTLOUD! Okay. I'm like laughing at my own joke now. Briillllllliant.

Chilled out with my class girls. There were supposed to be 15 of us but we caught the deadly flu bug before Christmas and casualty rate was high. Effing high. Bad air-circulation in class. Fever, cough and sneezing went round like nobody's business. So.. let me count.. there's.. ONLY FOUR OF US! Sigh. Initiate plan was to Timbre @ Substation but since the organizer fell sick so I psycho the other 3 helpless ones to go to Timbre @ Art House instead! Like... since when it hasn't been my priority choice right. HURRHURR. Me and this other girl, Novi, we had like so much in common. We were both 86s, love heels, and flushed like a lobster and crab when we drink. We had this little game one day in class, where we pair up, with a common thing between the 2 parties and the rest of the class have to guess what they are. So ours were.. we are both tigers wearing mondo heels. How lame. LAUGH! Anyway, anyway, Adel came to join us. Hee. Besides BFF, she's the other TLF that I owned. TLF = Tiny Little Friend. So we were chatting and talking about this "common thing" and we went to something about horoscope and I've just found out.. Pisces clicks well with Scorpio and Cancer. Who belongs to one of these catergories? OWN UP!!!!!

Random class photos. We sang, we danced on Christmas eve. And not forgetting our gift exchange "ceremony". We formed a huge circle in class, and we took turns to walk to our secret receiver and TADA, presents, hugs and end the day with a beautiful fullstop.

WEE! Exams are over. I hope I've secured 2 Distinctions in my pocket. Hope! Post exams celebration at Harry's. Had a couple of drinks and I woke up with blurred mind! AHAHAHA. You know how everything can seems so blur? Yeah that! Anyway.. I was so happy.. with basically everything that I went out to get some stuffs and I ended up getting lots of stuffs. Burnt $300 plus in a couple of hours. Brrrrrilliant!

Bought 5 pairs of heels in a go. That kind of satisfaction.. I can't really express it with words. Try it and you tell me. Finally finally had my gel nails back ♥ Christmas coming, celebrations with my CX loves and my current classmates. Awesome!

Day One

First day of school and I was .. excited.. yeah a lil.. but more of nostalgic. As we walked around.. I get more flashes of them. The smiles, the laughter, the same old same old. But Day One has been fun! My tutor is so nice, gentle and a wicked sense of humor. A girl school I was enrolled in into. Do you know.. I get so many wishes from random people today that it made me all warm and fuzzy. Felt like a little girl going to Primary One all of a sudden. MY FRIENDS ARE SO SWEET I HAVE TO LOVE THEM TO BITS! I'll try to update as often as possible because.. I need to keep track of my "changes". I've got plenty of pretty classmates. Serious. I've got picture as evidence.. look hard!

You know.. When I went to Hong Kong for training last year, I was amazed by how it was so much like Singapore yet in certain aspects.. better. I love love their train systems where its puuuuurfect for a long nap and wake up finding out which stop you are at easily. Come on, haven't you had time where you was so freaking tired and you were nodding off.. 1 stops.. 2 stops.. a couple more stops and jerk awake.. WHERE THE HELL AM I? You have to wait till the next stop or the next announcement to find out. So Hong kong has this little lighted dots above their door frame and where it doesnt just indicate which stops you are at, it tells you WHICH SIDE THE DOOR WILL OPEN! We were so downright sure one day we will have that too. And look carefully at the photos again, the second one has got Pasir Ris- Orchard-Boon Lay! Cool! Run faster Japan andHong Kong! We are catching upppppp!

Crap aside, met up with twinnie, Korean buffet! We had so much meat that night. SO MUCH! Weird combi of kimchi soup with tom yam marinated chicken. Its yummy actually. Haa. at E!hub at Downtown East, check them out.

Secondary maties meet up and kimmy's birthday. We had this really authentic korean food at Tanjong Pagar area called Chowon Garden. Its quite a spread for the price we've paid for. 맛있다 (Delicious!)

My lovely citi mates. I've given a couple of them like weird nicknames. AHAHAHA.
What's the harm done? None! I'm really thankful and glad that despite having nonsensical and "what's wrong with he/she/them" people, I've met really sincere and nice ones as well.

Hey guys. I totally understand the frustration of returning to blogs with no updates made ever since.. forever and all you see are the spiderwebs around, and for putting you through that, I'm sorry! AHAHA. Okaays. I've been effing busy, juggling work and school and work. Really no life! Period! Basically I'm dead tired by 3pm and the rest of the days are spent in a daze, fighting the urge to just lie on the carpet and die there. I'm adapting and getting familiar with the workplace and colleagues. A whole bunch of fun and cranky people.

Went to the super noisy and super packed Comex fair. Yes, I know, it has been ages since the fair ended. Re-read the beginning kays! Had fun fighting our way through people and leaflets. Right.

Shiling (Red stripes) have got craving for Thai food and I'm sick of the usual Thai express, Lerk Thai nonsense, I recalled walking by this really fancy looking Thai restaurant with an elephant statue, located around arts house area so yeah, we had dinner there. Anyway anyway, I've got a new toy and I had a hard time getting it...

Sent my dearest kuku friend off today. Woke up on a dark Sunday morning, best for sleeping in yet I dragged myself to the airport at 6am. Yawn! Such a wonderful friend aint I. AHAHAHA! Poor girl had to go Japan all by herself with a group of disgusting people.. sigh! Made her a frame for her to place it in her empty dorm! Ohoho. I'll fill the room with my love-a-plenty!

I've just watched Money Not Enough II, personally I think its very realistic and have got some pretty touching scenes in fact. I don't hear any sobbings but I'm sure it touches many. A very typical characteristic of Jack Neo's movie.

Office hours job is kinda madness. Some days I walked into the office really happy and hyper but on other days I was so gloomy I can quit on the spot. But fortunately, I've made some friends and not forgetting my old friends, after work activities kept me alive.

My new classmate (middle) and colleague. One is flying with SIA and the other used to be from JAL. After I've left CX, I've made plenty of airline or ex-airline crews. How ironic indeed.

Company organized BBQ! Meant to go on a Batam trip with them earlier on but I've got waay too many things to settle hence kinda forgo the opportunity to bond with them. I had a great laugh that night over the silliest things and they made working happier. The 2 pwetty little girls belonged to my colleague. They were really witty and smart. Hmm!

My favourite favourite project mates. It took us one year to get together and I was so longing forward to it. Everyone of us has got a different lifestyle but once the chattering starts, I almost forgot we have already graduated. It felt just like the good o'days.

And last night I had a girly night out with my poly bestie, Shu, where we chilled at Giraffe and talked non stop. It rained, then it stopped and then it started raining again and we were still there chatting. We chat about everything under the stars or rain, to be precise. A heartfelt get-together indeed. Awwww. There's more to look forward too! Yippy Diddy!

My other bestie's leaving for training soon. Sigh.

Okays. Its gonna be pretty wordy. I'm just gonna pen down some of my thoughts and let me do some reminiscing yes. One year ago, this time.. I'm stuck in Hong Kong, having my training, living with my roomie whom i've got some disgression about but I'll talk about HER later, and you know.. out of Singapore. Adel was so funny, she actually sent me Kit's Chen "There's no place I'd rather be" and on National day itself, I played it in the room and my roomie and I had our own mini NDP'07. We followed by singing Home and some other songs. Those days were just.. awwwww.

And back to my roomie, the ex-wei wo du zhun contestant, SHE SUCKS! BIG TIME! We took some photo together and you know what? She photoshopped herself and only herself! And so she put up ugly photos of me and Dora. So nice of her right? AND, SHE WROTE ABOUT MY BAG! The worst was.. she placed my link in her blog where her funnily crazy fans were!
I can't tell you how much I hate her now! I hate you!

And to Dora, very soon one year will pass and you'll be like me now, thinking about it. So look ahead and live the day, you'll feel better! Bitches will rot so let them be. And on your (Dora's) behalf, I HATE YOU TOO ANGQIUTING!

Hong Kong taxi is expensive like madness yet we cabbed to the hotel and back to the airport.. at a discounted rate. I've had a secret number for me to call! I can't tell you how impressed momsie was. LAUGHOUTLOUD! We planned to take a cable car back to Tung Chung from Big Buddha but had not idea where to take it from so we kinda just followed this stream angmos plus malay plus japanese all flowing towards one direction. I told my mom following them won't go wrong. They need to get down the mountain too. And I'm right! AHAHA. Before we got to the cable car ticketing counter, we have to walk thru this village alike.. village. It totally looked like some scene we always see on HK series. Anyway, I made sure she ate all the stuffs I loved so much. Macaroni with egg and sausages, me, my roomie and dora's favourite hk style breakfast! Hong dao bing, Hui Lau San, yum yum! Shopping has always been good in HK so yup. I'm really glad I got to see my favourite manager from the favourite Japanese sushi shop. Have got the urge to sing My Favourite Things suddenly. Laughs.

Momsie can't pose nor take photo properly. Seriously! She pressed the shoot button so hard the camera shook and pictures came out blur. I told her I'll hit her real hard if she did that again and she acted like a stubbon kid and.. maybe its just her luh! Has.

Hey hey. I'm finally back. I have been busy like madness and haven't had time to sit down before the lappie to update about about my stuffs.. gahh! Anyway anyway, I AM NO LONGER AN AIR STEWARDESS OR CABIN CREW OR FLIGHT ATTENDANT OR WHATEVER YOU CALL IT! 19th was my last day as well as my last flight. Kind of sad having to leave my comfort zone and all my loved ones but they've sent their wishes and bestest regards and we've hooked our little pinkies promising to keep in touch always. Sob.

Last time putting on that uniform that I love/hate!

Finally met up with the girls after much hiatus. Its steamboat session!! Mel's back, but not staying. Sigh. We had a great laugh over how we looked in the past and how the teachers screwed us and how we screwed them back double in return. I really must say.. the teachers were really brave and courageous! Its always nice meeting up with the girls =)

I'm entitled to a FOC ticket after one year of service and my roster is packed like madness I have to give up going to Taipei, Japan or even US. Mom wants to go to HK so yeah.. I showed her my TERRITORY! Laughoutloud. Its like my second home already can and I'm ready to leave without prior planning . I don't know every single spot of it but travelling around on my own shouldn't be a problem. So everyday, we shopped, ate, shopped again. Momsie has been very obedient so far everytime I brought her out so we did have fun! AHAHA!

And.. I've start work immediately once I'm back so that kinda explains why it has been so hectic. I've put on another set of uniform and Friday was day three! Plenty to learn and I'm really slow. HAHA. Anyhows, I actually bumped into my ex-TPmate there. We worked together as a matter of fact. Like really.. wow! Small world.

School has started and I've met new friends. Am definitely more than happy to have someone, anyone sitting beside me during lessons! Heh. Went out with one of them for dinner with her friends whom I don't know at all. Kinda weird really, not the first time I joined my friend's friends for something but its still weird. Luckily so far.. all these people are pretty outgoing and chatty so it suits me just fine.

I'm back!! I hope I've got good news to share with everyone soon.
It's time for some decision making. Met up with my batch girls.
One is happily enjoying her tai tai life, the other having her well-deserved holiday and one changing her uniform soon. And as for me.. not time to disclose yet.
What an happy occasion indeed.

Had buffet @ One Degree 15 Sentosa. Very very exclusive I must say. Too exclusive in fact. Good things should be shared right. Thanks to Lilysan I had a chance to enjoy myself there. Anyway, do you know how much the membership cost? S$50,000 whopping dollars. Investment for the rich, heartache for the poor. AHAHAHA. It started drizzling suddenly so I couldn't go out and snap a picture with one of the yacht and pretend its MINE. Grumbles. Haa. Had a good time gossipying as usual. Went with Dora to meet Leona afterwards. Hang around the beach for a while, laughing at how the "ba-yi" matches their cloth to their top.

8 hurt as Cathay flight hits turbulence

Eight passengers and crew on board a Hong Kong-bound Cathay Pacific flight were injured when the plane was caught up in the tail of tropical storm Fengshen just minutes before landing yesterday.

It was the second time in 48 hours that a Cathay flight has got into difficulties on its approach to the city.

On Wednesday, a flight from Toronto was forced to abort its landing because of bad weather. It landed safely later.

After flight CX708 from Bangkok landed yesterday, three cabin crew and five passengers including three elderly people were taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.

All five passengers a Japanese and four mainlanders have been treated and discharged from hospital.

Of the three cabin crew, one has been discharged with minor injuries and two were kept in hospital overnight with serious injuries.

The aircraft struck unexpected turbulence during the early stages of its descent into Hong Kong.

The fasten seat belt sign had been switched on 12 minutes before the incident.

The captain alerted Hong Kong International Airport about the injuries at 1.51pm and ambulances were waiting when the aircraft landed at 2.12pm.

It came a day after Fengshen lashed the territory with heavy rain, floods and landslides that left 17 people injured.

The flight, carrying 241 passengers and 12 crew, was battered with heavy rain and thunderstorms about 90 kilometers southeast of Hong Kong

I believe many of you have heard or read about this and all I can say is poor cabin crew. As for the passengers, sympathy aside, ermm.. they are reliable for their own actions. How many times do we have to ask them to remain seated and buckle up? And how often do we have to risk our necks to patrol down the cabin and reminding them of their safety? Once on my flight, a passenger told straight into my face "Why you worry?" How right, how right.

It has been a long while since I've last met Shu least say take photos. Headed out to Oosh at Dempsey Hill to chill and ended up losing our way, walking in circles. Which is totally ridiculous cause the cab let us alight not too far away from it and yet we managed to walk in an exact opposite direction. So smart! Anyway, the smartest thing I've done that night was to order a drink called High On Grass when it should be named When High On Grass Goes Wrong instead. IT TASTED TOTALLY LIKE GRASS! Its stated a MUST TRY okay! Regretted not ordering rum or chardonnay. Oh crap. See photo row 6, 3rd pic and row 7, 1st pic. Other than that, its really an awesome place to chill. Met up with some of the HK crew and we had the oh-so-famous-must-eat curry crabs. That's the first time we had so many of us having dinner together. Flew in with a couple of them nights ago and some are my friends so we kinda combined. Huge group. We had to do self-introduction before dinner started. HAHA. And since there's so many of us and its a very-commonly-committed-human-error, we ordered way too much and this is how much we spent in total.

In situation like this, only the Singaporean way of exclaiming can portray how I felt!!!
Cost us a whooping $65 Sing dollars EACH! They were all allowances rich. What to do. SGD$360+ for 4 nights here. AGGGH!

Then I brought my HK friends to the Singapore flyer. Seriously, we weren't even looking at the so called beautiful night scene of Singapore. We busied ourselves with lots of camwhoring. One of the guys came with us but apparently he has got mild "acrophobia" he decided to stay on land. Ironic isn't it? Flight attendant afraid of height. Maybe there's nothing to see up there at 30 thousand feet. Only clouds! Not even superman. Shrugs. There, there he is!

We boarded the last ride hence it was really empty and we had the whole cabin to ourself. The girls were hell loads of fun. Nearing the end of the ride they realised there were cameras installed in the cabin and they practically ran out shrieking with their face covered. Camera shy. Right!

I asked if they would like to take a short walk and of course they were delighted. Eh. Dinner is freaking expensive okay! Scroll up for evidence. AHAHAHA! Furthermore what's more fun than roaming the streets at night right. After 22 years, I felt like a tourist as well as a tour guide for once. Pointing here and there, "Here's the durian, Esplanade, That's Singapore river, Over there is where the IR will be, etc, etc" And then, I took them for a bus ride.

"The Winson's Angels!" Too much jumping and laughing, we got really tired and in desperate need of sugar, and anything sweet ... and chilled. Told them Clarke Quay is a must go so I dragged all of them over. Clinic's closing soon by the time (12am) we reached so we just popped into some pub with empty seats. Manchester United won! Like whoreallycares. Had fun and there's a part 2 tomorrow. Provided I'm not called up for standby. Fingers crossed!

Response to my previous sale post was pretty good so I've taken it down. Anyhow, just got back from my company's Singapore conference and its quite an experience. It was pretty fun going for such company event as you know, you will be surprised by how many departments and people we have. We get to mingle around with non-crew and yup, its enriching! Especially having conversation with 'Big' people like regional managers and various HODs. Really glad I get to be in civilian wear, unlike my poor batch mate James, uniform! Shit. Dinner aftermath was good. Right beside Singapore river, open roof-top. See the landscape in one of the photo's background. Night view is breathtaking! The 3 of us got high in a few glasses of chardonnay and we blabbed nonsense. AHA. Thats all for now. Tata.

Yak yak yak! It's one of those days where we see some empty seats around and work fast. My galley, some other people's galley. Fun crew that night and "my friend" was on board! It has been quite sometime since I've lasted posted photos taken in my not so glamorous uniform. They are changing it soon! Yay! Proudest possession is no doubt the smock AKA apron! Anyway, even though I complain alot, I do love my job sometimes. No all the time but .. you get it. I'm flying with people that I like lately so cheers on that. Anyhow, I've got this passenger who speaks with a slang American accent on board today, and we were chit chatting then he asked where I'm from and of course I replied "Singapore" and he went "Oh. What language do you guys speak? Can you teach me some?" And I went.. "English" Smile and walk away! HAHA! In case you haven't heard of this before, there are people out there thinking Singaporeans are blond and have got blue eyes. Oh crap, I don't mind that really.

Warning: Photo Intensive

MY BANGKOK TRIP
I'm back and feeling completely satisfied with this whole trip. Just me and my momsie in this short getaway. Daddykin's busy so he had to stay here. I needa go get a refund for his ticket soon. Anyway, we left on 16th midnoon and reached at about 3ish Bangkok time. Dropped our luggages and headed back out to Chatuchak. Stuffy as usual and I've made the mosquitoes happy but feeding them well, real well. I've no idea what is the name of the waffle thingy in the photo but its yummy. Back to topic, we wandered around till everyone started packing then we left. Just bought some nitty gritty stuff from there. Anyhow, most of the shops are manned by young guys and.. they'r cute. Smiley and all. Gosh. By the time we went back, its dinner time! Settled down for some thai food and its awesome and spicy, spicy and awesome. Hang out in one of the malls near the hotel and decided to watch 10,000 BC since its still early. So happily we went into the threatre, making ourselves comfy in our seats and waited for the show to start. However, right before the show commence, they played the national anthem(I supposed) alongside with clips of the Thai king. Everyone scuffled to their feet while me and my mom looked at each other with the "what?" expression. It was when the guy next to me finally stood up that I realized we better do so too. Weird isn't it. With the respect the people have for their king, me and my mom would prolly be clobbered up if we remain seated looking stupid. AHAH.

Novotel. One of my favorite hotel chain and highly recommended by some of my colleagues. Very accessible, posh and affordable (due to crew discount). What more to holiday than staying and eating well right. I strongly recommend it to you guys too. MBK, Platinum, Erawan Shrine (4-faced buddha) are just a stone throw away. Not forgetting the cheap Skytrain. We basically walked to these destination. Shopping malls, massage parlor right smack opposite our hotel. I think.. juices are much cheaper than coffee in Bangkok. See last photo. For only 20฿, I get 1.5L of mixed juice.

What do you think we must do in Bangkok? Shop, duh! 3 days of shopping and our feet ache from all the walking. Eat, shop spend money. Amazing Thailand.

The last night in Bkk we need to try the second must: Thai massage. AUSTIN POWER REALLY. Oh, I remembered a story to share. While we were indulging ourself with all the point pressing and rubbing, in came a group of SINGAPOREANS. There's 6 of them and on them wrote 3S -Si beh Sia Sway! The first thing they said was "can give discount? we so many people" Hello, everyone pay the same price, its not some basar malam can. Nevermind. In the midst of haggling over 50฿, the thai lady told them nicely its not up to her to give discount, quoted: "I cannot, I no boss" they asked for longer massage time then one of the super buay paiseh Singaporean exclaimed to the others "Aiya, we so rich, don't geh gao over $2.50SGD la" (in hokkien) Wha! I felt so ashamed really. The parlor is patronized by mainly tourists from all over, Japanese, Mainland chinese, Caucasian, Korean. Can you see how badly its reflected on us? Let's do some maths. Of the 6, 2 settled for Mani& Pedi, 1 just pedicure, the other 3 foot massage. Mani&pedi - 250฿, Pedi - 150฿, Foot massage - 300฿, total spending - 1550฿. Me and my mom did pedicure, foot massage, thai massage= total spending 1500฿. So what there's 6 of you? Luckily thai are generally nice. Imagine if they are in China or even HK, the shrewd woman will tell them 去吃大便!!

On another note, my phone has been pimped! It looks like tigger from Winnie The Pooh now!
The taxi fare back to the aiport cost a whopping 600฿. Gee. Anyway, on our flight back its sooo full we were put on standby till 45mins be boarding. Fortunately, we did get on board despite the worrisome wait. During boarding I noticed that hey, I do know that IM(Inflight Manager), i've flew with her before so I approached her and said hello and she came over for a short idle talk before take-off. Here comes the best part. After take-off, she came to me and said "Jialing (SHE REMEMBERED MY NAME!), would you like to go upstairs with your mom after seatbelt sign goes off? Let her enjoy the service." That's SO FREAKING NICE of her you know. Upstairs = Business Class! When I book the tickets I was already comtemplating whether should I get the Jclass tickets instead because bigger seats, better service. But since the flight is pretty short, no point luh. Who knows wow. Look how happy my mom was. Dora, you know her too =)

My birthday, our birthday. Specially reserved this day for momsie cause its her birthday too. So 22 years ago, she gave birth to me on her birthday. How astonishing. My oh my, time flies. I remembered 365 days ago, I..
- Dragged my parents to the beach on a raining day, telling them how much I wanted my 21st birthday to be held there
- Took a couple of days to plan, prepare and get everything done with minimum help
- Stood under the blanket of stars on the sandy beach telling my friends how much I desired to be working on the passing aircraft right above our heads
- Sat, laughed and joked with all my silly love ones while gobbling down the chicken wings and other oily stuff
- Took pictures with not all, but almost everyone around and collated an album of gifts received on my once in a lifetime 21st
- Went to bed totally drained but with a uncontrollable smile lifting the corners of my lip

Now, I sat here, reminiscing the celebration I had and that's enough. I'm not doing anything special or big this time cause.. what for, when once is more than enough =) Yeap. Its my birthday today. YAY, YAWN! Anyway, thank you all for your wishes. Hearts.

I'm on leave, I'm on leave. Yay. Its so satisfying. Like finally I get to rest, adequate rest. 2 more weeks before I drag myself and the luggage back to work. 2 weeks, can't stop smiling now! Anyway, my batch mates are the best! No joke. They gave me a waaay advance surprise celebration in room 0331. That's my room obviously. The plan was to chill out at the hotel lounge but secretly the "lounge" was my room. More than often not, surprises failed due to kuku people who are not clear of the plan! AHAHAHA! One by one came and gave me lame excuses for turning up at my door step.

After much hiatus, I'm back! Met up with the dollies like finally. Well for those who have yet been to Miss Clarity Cafe.. you may consider going there. Its not fantastic but at least its away from the noisy buzz in a typical Singapore street. We had hell loads of mad fun running about in the street, pausing every now and then for "artistic" photos. Dorothy's Chanel 2.5 killed several films. No films used actually.. more like memory space. Qiu was like "Why did you get such an expensive bag when its so small and look like a crew bag" AHAHAHAH! If you were to shoot to fame Qiu, and if the sponsors want you to endorse their expensive bags.. YOU TELL THEM THAT! We stopped in the middle of the road and went "eh eh. take here!" And in the midst of the posing/jumping/whatever, we had to pay attention to approaching vehicles and we went hysterical.

Overdue photos from meet ups meet ups and meet ups. Pee's 22nd Birthday celebration, "la kopi" with my lovely colleagues, dinner with the bears. It has been quite sometime since i've last met Shiling and Jolleen. Caught Sweeney Todds like finally, and well, its pretty good I feel. Something different from the vampires zombies viruses attacked flick. Good effort Depp, I love you still. Have got flights on new year day so BWAH! but I was given angbaos by seniors, pilots, colleagues and pax. huhhurhur.

ANYWAY, ANYWAY, sidetrack a little, those who have read my blog knows who AngQiuQiu is. So lets give her the loudest round of applause and hi 5s to congratulate her for getting into final 8! hoohoo!

Hey there peeps. Haven't been blogging much with words for quite sometime have I.
Partly I'm lazy, in addition to the fact that I talk so much each day, I thought perhaps I should let my brain rest. Breathe. Anyway, while laying on my bed before I fell into a deep slumber, I had a chat with myself. Okays. This sounds so wrong, so psychotic. I basically just let my thoughts flow, reflecting, thinking. Ever since graduation, I felt like doing so many, achieving so much. That without realising, I turned kind of greedy. More, more, more. Heaving load and loads of burden onto myself that at certain point of time, everything seems impossible! More haste less speed. Breathe.

Anyhow, Chinese new year is approaching! Usually, by now I'll be planning where to shop, what cny outfits to have blah blah. BUT, this year, I've got so much clothes, shoes and not forgetting bags, I doubt I've got any storage space left. Plus, I'll be working on the first day of cny that I'll be missing out on my family's yearly routine of driving back to daddy's hometown for cny celebration. Felt kind of empty actually. It has already became sort of like a .. habit that we'll clean up our house, go out for last minute shopping, pack huge luggages, squeezing it into the small boot and off we go. Now I'll go for flight and come back to an empty house. ROAR! I'll prolly touch down and call everyone on my phone's list. However , I did managed to get new bedsheets, new quilt cover, pjs and bedroom slipper. Ironically, these are all sleeping items. Well I guess subconsciously my brain figured that what I needed most after my hectic flights is a good nice sleep. I should get a new mattress too perhaps. Hmm.

Rushed back home immediately after flight, showered, touched up and off we go again for the dinner. So many were absent due to flight. Oh wells. Had our bit of fun, and chardonnay love~
I'm starting to get the hang of my flights now that we get to work in the Business Class. No more rushing around like maids/ waitresses. Speaking softly and gently to our very valued passengers. I realized, they have been so well attended to that they rarely use the call button. Enjoying my lamb chops on board is another plus. AHAH!

Before I start on my entry, here's a reply to AngQiuQiu:
Please do note that I've got a 4 days roster starting first day of the year and well, since I'm not entitled to the tai tai life that you are leading, I'll continue to slog and that will mean I've got no time, I repeat, NO TIME to blog for trivial stuff like welcoming the new year. Furthermore, Christmas is my favorite time of the year, so, its not exactly a bad thing if time stops and stays there. See! Waste my time replying to you!!!

Anyway, since I've started, Happy new year all (yawns)
I've seriously given a thought to what I want to do this year, and hopefully can achieve.
In other words, its something called resolutions (yawns again)

Here goes:
Number 1: Go green
I do this alot in Hong Kong and I MUST bring this habit over. That's using a shopping bag. I've got 2 big bags which I ALWAYS brought out with me on shopping trip. Ditch all the plastic bags, since its noisy, harmful to children, ugly at times and 'tat' glam to carry, hesitate no more. Something me, you, anyone can contribute to our poor earth.
I must, must must.

Number 2: Be a better person
There are way too many less-fortunate people around. While we were dumping the leftover food down the trash, we conveniently forgot how significant all these are to other people. In comparison to committing to big things like helping the needy, saving the world, I'll gladly settle for small things like starting from myself. Order food I can finish, not over buying (which is a BIG problem) and recycle/reduce/reuse whenever,whatever I can.
BE MORE - loving to others, tolerant and accepting, patient, forgiving
BE LESS - self centered, temperamental, defensive, blunt
Can't promise but I'll reflect and try my best.

Number 3: Go for a well-deserved trip for my big 22

Number 4: Pursue a degree

Number 5: Love myself, and my parents more

Number 6: Get myself a new phone
It doesn't have to be the best, latest phone but at least one
that won't shut down on me suddenly.

Number 7: Put my skipping rope into good use

Number 8: Save up for ... unexpected raining days

Number 9: Change company

Number 10: Sticking to these resolutions

Oh. In addition, here's one point I can't seem to emphasize more on.
That's living your life. Every second, every moment counts. Appreciate it while you can, stop thinking "its okay, I've got tomorrow". You really don't know what lies ahead the next second. Let your love ones know how much they mean to you and mean it.
I love you all my loves and I'm grateful you crossed my path and played a part.

One word for J class training - Blast!
We had fun doing the most nonsensical things, cracking the most ridiculous jokes and poking fun at the most innocent people! Running about in the cold, here, there, everywhere. I love training.
We went out for late night karaoke, 11 of us. Cabbing back at day break for a few hours of wink and back to class. Nodding off one by one by noon.

Christmasy mood in and out. Christmas trees; decos; carols everywhere. Bonus: the 15 degrees temperature! We don on all sort of winter wear you can name. Trench coats to fury bombers to scarfs to gloves to boots. Only the mufflers are missing in action =) If there's anything that I'll miss about this job, it has got to be my batchmates. Not all, but mostly.

Evolution of me hair

While uploading photo onto Photobucket, I caught glimpse of some photos at the very end of the page. Old pictures of mine. What a narcissist I was or uhem, still am. Over the years, nothing much changes on my face except that there's an sudden existence of some GREAT GREAT invention called makeup. No more naked face, no more bushy eyebrow, no more short pathetic lashes! Anyway, what has been constantly changing is the nest resting on top on my head AKA hair, or more exact, hairstyle. Photographs ARE in order.

From my long don't-know-what-to-do-with-it hair to making full use of hair accessories which I still adore much to date to snapping it waaay short that you might approach me from the back and say "hey dude, wassup!" to ironically letting it grow back centimeters by centimeters to finally restoring it back to a slight tinge of feminine. Bangs fashion came sweeping by, fast and strong and poof! I've got bangs too. Straight thick bangs to "escalator" bang to the china doll round bangs. The cycle repeats. I was thrown back into a "urgh, my hair suck" and I better not scare anyone with it stage. Beanies came to my rescue, or in fact yours. Finally it can be secured tightly by another great creation, rubber band. Soon afterwards, it was sent under no, not the knife but the CURLER! Last photo depicts where I am now. Slightly wavy and thick where letting it down is a big no no! Whats gonna happen to my hair next?

I'm kind of sick of my job. Not as a cabin crew but more of my destinations. Some people are giving away their long hauls in exchange for more time with their love ones, family but some like me are craaving for such flights. We are so hard to please aren't we? Yes, I know all along that my roster's gonna be like that and I took it up simply cause I have got stuff to settle. I have unfinished business called school. I want to be back at school mugging for a degree. If I'm to do part time, I will prolly complain about how boring it is going to school yada yada so my oversized brilliant brain thought:"hey, why not be cabin crew where roster is all in your control and you can work and school, school and work." So here I am! I'm not stuck yet and I'm still hanging on. Hallelujah.

Yessh. Just some photos I took at the food fair. I'm starting to appreciate the price, quality and variety of food we have in Singapore.

Hey ho! I'm back. My schedule this month suck big time! Working my tiny lil ass off. Like purleasse! I really hope everything settles down real fast and in the meanwhile keeping my fingers crossed hopefully our crew control do like me afterall. Better flights better crew please. I'm dreading team flying now. And I wish that day will never come. I'll miss the HK crew, despite them being lazy and whatnot. Well at least I know after disembarkation, sayonara forever. *Ang QiuQiu, Mr F suck! He should just kill himself to make the world a better one. The best way to kill himself is probably tripped and fall into the lavatory, head down!!! Annnyway, I love love my Incheon flight! A whole batch of crazy crew <3

Hong Kong is brrr brrr cold now. I walked out in my shorts and happily drape this pathetic scarf around my neck thinking its more than enough but NO! I caught a cold and felt feverish immediately the very next day. Pills pills more pills.

Okays. I'm stuck here with my semi swollen eye (left), voiceless and my girly outing cancelled. Brilliaaant. All these are basically the aftermath of my bad bad flu. I operated to Hong Kong on the 15th, touched down safely with bad earaches due to blocked nose and throat. And who knows, I lost my voice there and then. So I've got to pax back yesterday with the doctor's certification that I'M FIT TO FLY! Else I'll be a lonely soul suffering in Hong Kong. So throughout the flight, I've watched one movie, had a full set of meal (no ice-cream for me though, bad throat) sleep slept sleep. But I did help la huh, cabin crew what. I did safety live demo at Business class okay! Don't play play! ahahas. Sound so typical Singaporean. Actually.. I was given a Business class seat (Full load in and out) but this particular passenger wanted an upgrade so I gave up mine and took his EY seat. He didn't know the seat he's taking was supposedly meant for me so when he saw me in his previous seat, he kept apologising to me. Even till when I'm at the door bidding farewell, he’s still there with his sorries. Oh man. Is he nice or what? He paid for the seat, and like I’ve told him, the seat is his! And honestly, its really funny sitting there in my full uniform, make up and hairdo. During landing, I turned to the passengers beside me and told them to stow their bags away, they threw me this " I thought you are not working?" LAUGHOUTLOUD! Yeah I'm not but its a basic stewardess instinct and responsibility! GAW! I need to get well soon.

Oh. Information for those intending to visit Hong Kong anytime soon, the weather is changing and at night it can get pretty chilly. Bring your jacket or.. buy one there since shopping is cheap.

Well. I'm finally back. I'm so lazy nowadays, typing seems like a waste of energy. Right. And that now my entire life revolves around work work work, I've got to watch what I write here cause I must never risk getting my ass into trouble yeah. So its off work usual boring stuff! Not that my job is very fun though. I'm getting injuries all over my body lately and strange enough, I've got no idea where they came from. And the worst of all, I'm suffering from a very bad flu and I've got a golden flight on Monday! Dammit.

One of my colleague fell sick on his flight over to Hong Kong so we visited him at the hospital. Kind of sad aye, to fall sick while ya many many miles away from home. Suffering and lonely. Poor boy. We were pretty excited about this hospital trip actually. Its so local you get what I mean. Seriously, Hong Kong is becoming a second home to me. So there we were on that mini green bus you always see on TVB serial. We were so paranoid that we stole the nurse's masks and constantly fighting the urge to touch our nose eyes mouth. Its quite an experience really.

It's a taboo for cabin crew to mention something like they have had a wonderful flight etc. IT'S TRUE! I was bragging to my batch mates that my flights had been great so far yada yada then immediately the next day i bit my own tongue. ouch! It was so horrible I thought I'm going to get nightmare! Lesson learnt.

Here's one of my flight. You determine if its a good one or a bad one.

Midnight supper! Room service! 8 drumlets! Alright, reason why we chose the drumlets was that the other items on the menu are too expensive!!! Cheapo stewardess rules!

During our outport we gathered at one of the rooms, played card games, drink red wine, squeeze ourselves mad onto the beds and hug each other to sleep. AWWW! You saw this roomie? Jealous X2? Roar! Thats for being kuku enough to not ask for a crew list from the hotel staff!

Guess what? I'm back! I was so close to tears on my crew seat, landing in Changi airport. Daddykins and momsie came to pick me up. You won't be able to guess how sweet they were. Especially my pop. Anyway, I'm sorry if you came to my page and realised I haven't been updating. Sorry aye. Apple called and thought I've disappeared. I've felt your love, totally.

Its gonna be wordy cause really, some stuff cant be shown on photographs, even though it paints a thousand words but maybe, it missed out one or two. My training was awesome, great people, unforgettable outings, wine and more wine please.

JAY WILL BE BACK IN SINGAPORE ON THE 21st AUGUST!

I'm back! I felt like being pushed back into school days - waking up at 7am ending lesson at 5pm. Monday to Saturday! Bamm! My training school is like next to our hotel which makes thing really really convenient! We can crawl our way back despite being dead tired! Cut words short, lets look at pictures instead aye!

Training class! The guy in the picture is a friend we made in Hong Kong =) Really nice guy.
Honestly, the thick make up is a tad scary aye! Like put me under the sun and you'll find me dripping with make up.

Shop till we drop! In one of the pictures we shopped till midnight and we've got to catch the last train back to the hotel. We were kinda freaked out cause cabs arent as cheap as it is in HK. Futhermore town in HK isnt like town in Singapore. Its quite a distance away so yeah, we ran like mad with our shopping bags! Missed our last bus so we cabbed. Fortunately, the interchange is kinda near our hotel, so it doesnt cost much. The ladies in the last 2 pictures were sales assistance. They took a liking for us so.. yeah.

$8 sing. So if you wanna come, be prepared! If you think thats egg tart, YOU ARE SO WRONG! Its something we dont have in SG! Thats milk tart and thats one of the best thing I had so far! I intend to bring some back to Singapore! The mango desserts rock big time. Mango lovers out there, take note! The shop name is "Xu Liu San". Oh, the 5th picture shows my aunty-alike roomie in her super big plastic bag, buying ice-cream. But thats not the main point. The van is super interesting. It goes round the streets and stop basically anywhere for ppl to buy ice-cream. Heard its soft like Mac's!

My girly - Dora! We went to town on our own last night. Not much shopping but the trip was great! We crap, shop, eat and laugh like nobody's business on the street. My roomie was too tired to join else we'll make the 3 noisiest group ever! Anyway Dora's roomie went out to club, not that we don't wanna club but hello, where to find the energy from man. So, we had our own slumber party in our room. Wicked!

Hello all my lovely readers. I really missed you guys like deep deep. I cant wait to find a way to blog and keep you guys entertained. Anyway, I'm rocking my life here so yeah, no worries aye. In fact to date, I'm totally enjoying it. No training for the first week yet and I've been shopping like mad. If anyone sees my mom on the street, please do not tell her that. I'm already feeling guilty but I'll show you guys my buys another time and you can tell me if I should/ should not

buy them.

On the day to Hong Kong, my parents, apple, mary and shu came to send me off. They were so sweet arent they? My flight's like 10 in the morning and they've got to be there by 8 plus. Madness flight I know and its not like I'll be away for years kinda thing. Anyway, we were given Business class seats so yeah, awesome!

Here's my roomie/bitch. We slept like in the wee hours due to endingless of beforesleep chats. We were both sotongs, not literally though. Perhaps human form, sotong brains. I missed all the silly lingo! Like totally!!

Be prepared! My room can rock all your socks off, all the way from Hong Kong. It has got Plasma TV- with all SCV channels, DVD player, 2 makeup table and 1 full length mirror! Plus since its hotel, we get everyday room cleaning service, not surprising I know BUT the service is like top notch. The cleaner not only tidied the room, she helped arrange my roomie shoes such that it sits there neatly in pair when we got back! Only thing I dont really appreciate is the shifting of dustbin! I need to reposition it to a convenient spot all the time. She topped up our mineral water in the fridge day to day! There's no way we could get dehydrated at this rate. If you scrutinise carefully at my makeup desk, you'll spot a photo. Apple gave it to me at the airport. APPLE! I REALLY MISSED BICKERING WITH YOU! And yeah, the bimbotic orange luggage belongs to me.

Magnificent room view! Be it day/ night time. Sexy angmo sunbathing! The room satisfy all my stalking desire.

I've been to many places, but cam memory flat, photos are with the other girls. I'll update whenever I can! It really is must to come to Hong Kong. Whoever wanna come next time, date me aye. I'll show you to all the splendid places with cheap deals and stuff.

Due to time constrain, I've got to chop chop cause there's 2 japanese ladies waiting to use my PC. I dont really fancy appearing in the newsletter you know, like Singapore base airstewardess hogging the PC like nobody's business. Hey hey people.
My training has been confirmed. I'll be flying off to Hong Kong on the 9th July. Will be away for 2 months, but there'll be PCs for me to use at the hotel so yeah, I'll update whenever I can. I hope I can take lots of pictures to share aye. Words alone are b-o-r-i-n-g! Anyway, just to be really stupid here. When I went to the briefing today, I felt like I'm a contestant of ANTM, like we've got to outwit each other, you know. Better looking people, people with more experience etc. We be staying in the hotel, 2 to a room. So, I'll have a room mate. Way cool, like some school exchange or something. 2nd - 5th May
Can you so believe it? I actually worked in Hermes for 4 ~~freaking~~ wonderful days. Its kinda like a short event where I attend to regular patrons of Hermes and all I've got to do is to get dressed up in Hermes oh-so-famous silk scarf and hang around smiling. I cant believe I forgot to take pictures can? Everyday a piece of scarf worth $540 was tied onto me. wicked. Anyhow, Hermes is so fucking expensive! Pardon me but it really is! Oh and yeah, Hermes is pronounced as Em-es, not Her-mes. Ditto that yeah! I almost made that mistake too BUT luckily, I asked the manager beforehand. PHEW! I dont think I can bear the embarrassment! haha.. Imagine saying the brand incorrectly whilst working under it. I can so die on the spot.

5th - 7th May
Was away in Thailand, Krabi. I guess most of you are more familiar with Bangkok aye. Anyway, you should try out other parts of Thailand simply because Bangkok is too tourist-infested that everything wasn't as cheap anymore. Anyhow, here's some pictures =) My dad took almost all of these pictures. Well, what to do? An old boy with his new toy. hee.

Seriously, this is the worst dinner ever. My dad vomited everything out at nightfall. First its so ulu-pandang never mind, the soup, vege and everything else are so salty, as if the salt in Thailand is free or something, not to forget how unhygienic the kitchen is. My mom calls it the pig sty! For several meals, all I had was white rice plus egg. The last meal was the best. Cost 5000 Baht in total but so money worth can. We had all the best thing on our table, so clean and safe for consumption. PEOPLE, DONT TRY OR EVEN THINK OF SAVING UP ON YOUR TRIPS. PLEASE, you are there to enjoy! Eat and buy all the best things.

Phuket is about 2 hours ride from Krabi, nice sea view, fresh air. The puppy is so cute can? Spot the man in blue flowery shirt at the back? thats the owner. Man, the puppy is small, legs are short but he/ she can sure run. It looked like its tumbling down the stairs in actual fact. ahah. I want a puppy. Momma please~

The last day of the trip. Bought quite some stuff =) All for dirt cheap, thats all that matters!

12th May
Met up with my girlies after I'm back. Like finally! Time's short but we had fun.

Will be flying off again to Guangzhou on the 15th with my momsie, aunt and her friends plus my all time bestie, gohshulin. I expect we'll have alot of pictures taken then aye. Am taking the plane back on the 20th, just in time for my graduation on the 21st =) Now you know why I'm so happy that May is here. Will update when I'm back!

Hey guys. For the last round of interview, I didn't make it. No doubt when the result was revealed , I felt as if the whole world was crushing down. BUT, having seen the forecast, I'm prepared for it. Why didn't I make it? I guess all I can say was that the timing is TOTALLY off. I'm supposed to be in the last group but was brought backwards and became the first group, first interview of the week, first few. Theoretically speaking, would the interviewer accept a large pool of candidates during the first interview of the week? of course not right. They have so many others to choose from. So nah. However, I'm still proud of my achievements ain't I. I've made it thus far which I think is remarkable. I've passed 4 out of 5 rounds know! haha.

I will definitely try again. I was so motivated can. A girl I met at the interview tried 10 freaking times can. She's 26 and she's in. Was happy for her, sure am. Her determination was finally paid off. All this time, she tried only SIA and no other airlines and this is the first time she reached the final round. 10 times i repeat. She deserve it more any of us. I'll prolly give up by the third time.
